Privacy Policy for VaultNotes

This Privacy Policy outlines the policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use VaultNotes (the "Service"). It explains your privacy rights and how applicable laws protect you.
VaultNotes does not collect, store, or process any personal data directly. Any data collection related to your use of the Service is handled solely by the Google Play Store, where the app is distributed. By using VaultNotes, you agree to this Privacy Policy and any data handling by Google Play Store in accordance with its own policies.
Words with capitalized initial letters have meanings defined below. These definitions apply whether used in singular or plural form.
For this Privacy Policy:
Application refers to VaultNotes, the software provided by the Company.
Company (referred to as "the Company," "We," "Us," or "Our") refers to VaultNotes.
Device means any device accessing the Service, such as a computer, cellphone, or tablet.
Personal Data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service refers to the VaultNotes Application.
Service Provider means any third party processing data on behalf of the Company, including Google Play Store for distribution and analytics purposes.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically during Service use (e.g., via Google Play Store).
You means the individual using the Service, or the entity on whose behalf the Service is used.
Personal Data
VaultNotes does not collect any Personal Data or Usage Data. The app operates locally on your device and does not request or store personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or device identifiers.
However, when you download or use VaultNotes through the Google Play Store:
Usage Data may be collected automatically by Google Play Store, including:
Your Device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address.
Device type, operating system, and unique identifiers.
Information about app usage (e.g., install/uninstall events, crash reports).
This data collection is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy (linked below) and is outside VaultNotes’ control.
Since VaultNotes does not collect Personal Data, we do not use it for any purpose. Any use of data collected by Google Play Store is managed by Google for purposes such as:
Providing and maintaining the app distribution service.
Analyzing app performance and usage trends.
Complying with legal obligations.

Access Requested:
Files and folders in your selected Google Drive locations.
Basic Google account information to identify your storage.
Data Storage and Sync:
Notes and images are synced between your chosen Google Drive folders and local device storage.
You control which note templates use cloud storage and whether to use one-way backup or two-way sync.
All data remains in your personal Google Drive account and is not accessed or stored by VaultNotes beyond facilitating the sync.
VaultNotes Does Not:
Access files outside your selected sync folders.
Share your data with third parties.
Retain access to your Google Drive after you revoke permissions.
You can disable Google Drive integration at any time via app settings, which will not affect your local files.
Important: We recommend maintaining regular local backups, as no storage system is 100% reliable. Your use of Google Drive is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Retention: VaultNotes does not retain any Personal Data. Local files created by the app remain on your device until you delete them. Google Play Store or Google Drive retention policies apply to their respective data.
Transfer: VaultNotes does not transfer Personal Data. Any data transfers occur via Google Drive (if enabled) or Google Play Store, subject to their policies.
Deletion: You can delete local VaultNotes files via the app or your device’s file system. For data collected by Google Play Store or Google Drive, refer to their respective deletion options.
VaultNotes does not collect or disclose Personal Data. Any disclosure of data collected by Google Play Store or Google Drive is governed by Google’s policies, including:
Business Transactions: If VaultNotes’ ownership changes, no user data will be transferred, as we do not hold any.
Law Enforcement: We have no Personal Data to disclose, but Google may respond to legal requests per its policies.
VaultNotes operates locally and does not transmit data over the internet unless you enable Google Drive sync, in which case security is managed by Google Drive. We recommend securing your device and Google account to protect your local and cloud-stored files.
VaultNotes does not target users under 13 and does not collect Personal Data. If a child’s data is inadvertently synced to Google Drive, refer to Google’s policies for removal options.
VaultNotes may link to third-party services (e.g., Google Drive). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies as needed.
We may update this Privacy Policy and will notify you via the app or Google Play Store listing. Changes take effect upon posting, with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly.
